Sites to visit in Munich:-

1. MarienplatzStart your sightseeing tour at Marienplatz which has been Munich’s central square since thefoundation of the city in 1158. There are many brilliant sights clustered at and around Marienplatz thatused to be a corn and fish market with the name “Schrannenmarkt”. In 1638, Elector Maximilian Iordered the construction of the “Mariensäule” (Column St. Mary) because Munich was shielded fromthe Swedish occupation during the Thirty Years’ War. When the corn market was finally moved to thearea of the Viktualienmarkt and the Schrannenhalle in 1853, the square received its present name“Marienplatz”. Where the “Fischbrunnen” (Fish Fountain) is now, fish used to be sold here. In the eastof Marienplatz, there is Munich’s Old City Hall that was first mentioned in 1310 and redesigned manytimes. Now, the Marienplatz is dominated by the New City Hall, an impressive building of Neo-Gothicstyle that was constructed between 1867 and 1909 according to plans of the Austrian architect GeorgHauberisser. The famous “Glockenspiel” in the tower of the New City Hall is not only a major touristattraction, but also the fifth largest in Europe.

2. Frauenkirche (Dom)
Near Marienplatz is the Frauenkirche (“Dom”). With its height of 99 m and its two towers with onionshapeddomes, it is the landmark of Munich and dominates the city center together with the New CityHall. The Frauenkirche was constructed between 1468 and 1488 in late Gothic style due to plans ofJörg von Halspach in order to replace an older church. In 1525, the towers received their copperdomes in Renaissance style. Although the design of the Frauenkirche is quite simple, this catholiccathedral is an amazing building.

3. Viktualienmarkt and Church St. Peter (Alter Peter)
Also next to Marienplatz, there is the “Viktualienmarkt”, Munich’s largest fruit and vegetable marketwhere you can get nearly everything you want including spices, exotic fruits as well as Bavarianspecialities. For a brilliant view of the city, you should visit Munich’s oldest church and probably itsorigin, St. Peter, also called “Alter Peter” at Viktualienmarkt. If you manage to climb about 300 steps tothe top of the tower, you might even see the mountains around Munich when the weather is clear. After this exhilarating experience, the beergarden in the middle of the Viktualienmarkt is a great placeto recover and regain your energy.

4. Odeonsplatz and Church St. Kajetan (Theatinerkirche)
North of Munich’s historic city center, there is the Odeonsplatz with the beautiful church St. Kajetan(Theatinerkirche) of baroque style and the Feldherrnhalle. In 1790, crown prince Ludwig decided onthe construction of the Odeonsplatz instead of the northern city gate as well as a luxurious main roadto the north of Munich and put Leo v. Klenze in charge of the design in 1816. In addition, he wanted todesign the exit from the Residenz to the royal path (now Briennerstrasse) to the Nymphenburg Castlein a more attractive way. The "Feldherrnhalle" at the Odeonsplatz was designed by Friedrich v.Gärtner on the model of the Logga dei Lanzi in Florence and is a victory monument for the Bavarianarmy and its generals.

5. Residenz and Hofgarten
Also directly at the Odeonsplatz is the Residenz that used to be Munich’s city castle and residence ofthe Bavarian dukes, electors and kings as well as the entrance to the Hofgarten, a small garden with agate by the famous architect Leo von Klenze. Although quite small, the Hofgarten is Munich’s most
central garden and very suitable for a break during your sightseeing or shopping tour in the center ofMunich.

6. English Garden
When you leave the Hofgarten in north-east direction, a path leads directly to the English Garden. Withan age of more than 200 years and a size of about 4 km², the English Garden is the oldest and largestpark in Munich. The English Garden is not only a must-see place for all visitors to Munich but is also agreat park for relaxation and leisure activities. There are quite a few amazing sights in the park suchas the Chinese Tower with its’ huge beergarden, the artificial lake “Kleinhesseloher See” as well asthe highest viewpoint of the park, the Monopteros.

7. Königsplatz
After enjoying your time in the English Garden or the beergarden at the Chinese Tower, you shouldexplore other areas of Munich, maybe on the following day. The Königsplatz (constructed between1817 and 1862) in the Munich area Maxvorstadt was created by Karl v. Fischer and later by Leo v.Klenze on the model of European classicism which in this case was the Acropolis in Athens. Thissquare is highly impressive and there are also quite a few exhibition halls in its buildings such as theGlyptothek with antique statues. If you want to explore more exhibitions, you should head for the Alte,Neue and Moderne Pinakothek as well as the Lenbachhaus which are important exhibition halls inMunich near Königsplatz.

8. Nymphenburg Palace
If you still have time left, the Nymphenburg Palace in the west of Munich in the district Neuhausen-Nymphenburg is really worth a visit. The history of the origins of the brilliant Nymphenburg palace ofbaroque style and its gardens covers a period of more than 300 years. Because a successor to thethrone, Max Emanuel, was born in 1664, the elector Ferdiand Maria and his wife Henriette Adelaide ofSavoy put the Bolognese architect Agostino Barelli in charge of constructing a summer residence witha small ornamental garden for her. In the park of the Nymphenburg Palace, there are quite a fewimportant places to visit such as the Amalienburg and the Pagodenburg. Next to the NymphenburgPark, there is the Botanical Garden of Munich, one of the most important botanical gardens throughoutthe world.

9. Olympic Park with Olympic Tower
Another important, but very different and rather modern park is the Olympic Park in the north ofMunich. In the summer of 1972, the XX. Olympic Games were held in Munich. For this purpose, theOlympic Park was created between 1966 and 1972 on a barren area. One of the most striking featuresof the Olympic Hall, the Olympic Stadium and the Swimming Centre is their common tent roofconstructed of acrylic glass and designed by the German architect Günther Behnisch. With a size of 3km², the Olympic Park is the second largest park in Munich and despite its still artificial character, it isquite popular not only for sports, but for other leisure activities and events as well.

10. Oktoberfest (Wies’n) at Theresienwiese
Late September every year, the Oktoberfest, one of the most famous public festivals throughout theworld, starts at the Theresienwiese and lasts for about two weeks.Of course, there are much more amazing sights in Munich. If you are in Munich in summer, you shouldnot miss visiting one of the numerous beergardens in the capital of Bavaria.

Business Trip To Munich,Germany

Guten Tag, was the first word in German which I heard when I landed to Munich after a continuous 8 hour long flight from Delhi.
Well before proceeding ahead, lets get in to flash back for a while, the day when my boss informed me and my colleague that we have to fly to Munich for a Business trip we both were stunned at that time and we were not able to believe what we heard at that time.Ohhh mannn.....yes....we are going to client site...finally we got the opportunity....humara number bhi aa gya...we both were very excited as this trip was our first trip outside India. We both were used to saw snaps of our friends on orkut who are onsite and who used to post their snaps every week,we both used to discuss with each other that "yaar hum kab jayenge...humara number kab aayega".
I don't know why, suddenly whole atmosphere around us got changed as soon as people around us come to know that we are going to Germany. We both were busy in filing visa forms and completing all visa formalities, planning of what to take what not to take there, scheduling dates and times for shoppings and arranging other stuff.Along with us other people around us,our relatives, parents, cousines all were excited. We used to get phone calls every day from friends and relatives, all asking same thing "Dude, whats going on? when you are flying".I was able to feel excitement in their voice and they were able to feel excitement in my voice. Finally the day arrived and we were at IGI Airport,Delhi and left India for Munich.

(Flash Back over...)
Guten Tag, said a taxi driver when we came out of Munich airport. This was the first German word which i heard that day.Taxi driver was saying some thing in German and we were not able to understand what he was trying to say although he was not able to understand what we were trying to say in English.A man who was passing us came to know that we both were not able to communicate and he came for help.He acted like a translator to both of us and helped us to get to the Hotel by explaining hotel address to Taxi driver in German language.Well hear I saw how help full Germans are. When our taxi arrived,it was Mercedes and we were looking at each other and thinking in our minds that we are going to sit in a Merc....wow....we never imagined that we will get a chance to sit in a Merc. When we were on Freeway the speedometer was over 120 kmph, we came to know that it was an normal speed there,in India our speedometer ends at 180 kmph if I am not wrong.
Well, we reached our hotel and checked in.Next day we went to office by train, that day we came to know the system of trains there.Whole Munich city is divided into 16 rings, there are Bus,trams, surface trains (called as S-Bahnn) and under ground trains (called as U-Bahnn) which are used as public transport. With a single ticket you can travel in any of these public transport. There are also various schemes available for the tickets like you can have a partner ticket in which 5 persons are allowed on a single ticket for a single day.Such partner tickets are available for various rings like for 16 rings which covers whole Munich city you have to pay 16 Euros and you can roam in the city for a whole day. There system also have weekly passes for certain rings like we used to take a weekly pass for 3 rings on the cost of 13.8 Euros.Advantage of having such kind of weekly pass is that you can travel up to three rings at any time in any public transport. There is a central railway station from where you can get trains for going outside Munich.Central railway station is called as Hauptbahnnhoff, Haupt - Central,Bahnn- Train/railway,hoff-station.
As we started work in office we came to know the work culture of Germans, there is a rule by German government that no one is allowed to stay back at office more than 10 hours in a day, a person is not allowed to work more than 10 hours in a day. When we were at office some times we used to exceed this limit, next day our manager came and asked us to leave office at 6:30 pm at any cost if we are coming to office at 9 pm.People there at office used to do only work i.e. in 8 official working hours they just do only work no gossiping or friend visiting in that time, work means work. They believe on a mantra, work hard, party harder and they follow this mantra too.On weekends people used to go for outing. They took their children and go for tracking or bicycling, they spend whole day out.If there is a sunny day than they all go to near by river bank and take sun bath whole day, they take beers, food with them and cook food on a barbecue near river bank and enjoy whole day there.Generally sunny days are only for 15-20 days in a whole year so they do not want to miss sunny days.Germany's temperature remains between 10 - 25 degrees in Summer and below 3 degrees during Winter season and it rains there very frequently through out the year so we used to check whether forecast before going out.
German people are very fond of music, we saw many people in trains and buses who have just put on their head phones and listening music.People there just don't care about others i.e. they don't care what other person is doing, they are involved with themselves. This thing we have observed when we were in trains and buses, we saw many peoples either reading novels, listening music or simply siting with closed eyes.We saw many musicians there who used to play music in night for free at Marienplatz city center.People used to listen them by gathering around them and they also used to give them some money if they liked there music. Many peoples can be seen playing Guitars and pianos and entertaining peoples.German culture is very different, people there used to do things what they want to do but by not breaking any law or rule.If a person have to express his/her feeling towards other person than they will do it right there, they will never think where they are and on which place they are.For example: We saw many couples there kissing each other in trains, trams, buses or on a station.Couple do not include only boy friends or girl friends but it includes young guys and gals, husband and wives, old man and woman. This is there way to express how much they care about each other.Well I must say that German girls are really beautiful and very fashionable.I have never seen such beautiful girls.
German people are very open and friendly. We made some German and Slovakian friends there.I remember a day when we were going in a train and we were talking to each other. One German lady was listening our conversation and she was not able to stop herself and she asked us "I am sorry to interrupt you but in which language we you are talking".Actually she knows about India and she have been to India some years back so she started talking to us.She told us that "this is Germany,so just chill".She also told us some interesting things like on the escalators every body should stand at right side, left side is kept for those who have to rush or those who don't want to stand at escalators. There they have rule of keep right as in India we have rule of keep left.On the roads also we need to walk on right side instead of left side.
There is a separation in the footpath also i.e. one lane is for cycles and other for pedestrians. There people use bicycles most as they are very health conscious. We found many peoples doing cycling and running at any point of time.It seems like every body has fixed his target that he/she has to do this much bicycling or running. They used to do it to stay fit and healthy.Normally private vehicle level is like First vehicle - bicycle, second vehicle - Car.Few people used to have bikes there.
I am not very well aware about the food culture of Germans as I don't eat non-veg food so I used to cook my food myself in the Hotel. But I saw that people used to have pizzas with red wine or beer or some kind of meat every time. They used to eat chickens, lambs, beef, pork and other things.Well there is an very old Beergarten in Munich,Beer garten means beer garden where you will get beer.Beer is the cheapest drink there,no body drinks plain water there if they want to than they will add soda in it.There is an very old beer center named as Hofbräuhaus which is serving beers from 1800.There you can get 1 liter beer in a big mug for 7 Euros. If you really like wines and beers than Munich is the right place for you.You can get wines there at a cost of 2 Euros - 10 Euros.
In Germany, young generation is less as compared to old peoples, in our office there were no young peoples as like us.We used to say Young generation there as smoking generation because we found many youngsters smoking all the time specially girls.Girls used to smoke a lot there.During our business trip, we worked a lot and enjoyed a lot.We were out on every weekend to see many things in Munich. We went Garmisch which is outside Munich. From Garmisch we went to Alps valley which is at the highest peek of Germany. There were lots of snow and we enjoyed a lot there.I had a very good time and experience there moreover I can say that I have a life time there.

Flirting

***DISCLAIMER: THIS POST DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY FLIRTING TIPS****

Wikipedia's one liner says "Flirting is a form of human interaction between two people, expressing a romantic and/or sexual interest"

Flirting is often used as a means of expressing interest and gauging the other person's interest in courtship, which can continue into long-term relationships.
Some times it may be done simply for immediate entertainment, with no intention of developing any further relationship but this type of flirting sometimes faces disapproval from others, either because it can be misinterpreted as more serious, or it may be viewed as "cheating" if the person is already in a romantic relationship with someone else.

I observed that we all have a bit of flirting nature within us. We all do flirting but it depends who is the target. Let's do not take flirting in the sense that we are doing it with a girl. When we meet new people or a person with a higher authority like our boss, we always try to impress them; we talk to them politely and try to act intelligent so that they get a good impression.
When we act like a person who is different from our original personality our whole body language gets changed. For example: If I am talking to a girl, my body language and way of talking is far much different as compared to the way of interaction and body language I have when I am talking to a man or to my boss. At work, flirting is usually acceptable only in certain areas, with certain people and at specific times or occasions. There are no universal laws: each workplace or working environment has its own unwritten etiquette governing flirtatious behaviour.
Generally in flirting phase we always tends to be a nice person, we have small or little smile on our face which shows a glowing charisma on our face. A person with Type A personality gets converted in to Type B personality (don't know about Type A and B personalities, refer wikipedia for best example) and vice versa during flirting. Little bit Flirting is also good (I think this way) as it lets us to be a polite and good to all.It is a universal and essential aspect of human interaction. We always want that some body appreciate us and laughs at our jokes. We all try to create environment where all persons involved have a good time with each other so that we can again catch up, well this thing results in formation of small groups.

We Give our complete attention to the person in which we are interested. We laugh ath their jokes, listen to their stories, and we don't get distracted by what's going on around us as It is more important to seem interested than to seem interesting.
Some times some people do not like flirting at all so please read the body language before doing flirting. We look for such person who seems approachable and appear interested in you and then it starts with small smile to small talk (verbal flirting) and than to fun.

Flirting is a basic instinct, part of human nature. This is not surprising: if we did not initiate contact and express interest in people around us.

Roadside Barber

Road side barbers are very rare to see.If We spot them than we just pass them in our every day life.I was wondering how a new day starts for these road side barbers. Each and every day they have an hope in their eyes to earn more as compare to previous day. They used to stand in the shadow of a tree where they have fixed their mirror on the stem of tree, have a wooden chair and their apparatus used to cut hairs and shave.I don't know how much their hair cut costs but may be around 5-10 Rs.Every day they pray to god that at least they should get enough money so that their family can have a proper meal.
These days husband and wife works in a good firm so that they can have a good life for themselves and for their children but a barber and his wife works so that they can get a meal for their children and if possible than save it for the next day. Some times i think how they manage to survive if they don't have a single customer in a day.May be they had enough customer of their level and i am thinking like this as i didn't get chance to see any customer on their wooden chair.
Good thing is, at least they are doing some thing instead of begging. They have the courage to fight eevry single day to move ahead in their life.Taking hair cutting as a profession is good for those who have some amount of money in their pockets to setup a shop with a pair of chairs equipped with various creams and electrical gadgets but it is an obligation for such peoples by which they can earn their bread.
These days barbers have converted small shops to a full fledged saloon with an Air conditioner but a road side barber will never have such things,he will only have the courage to survive with his scissors and razors.

Vaishno Devi,a holy place or a place of Business

When i went to Vaishno Devi i asked myself that whether it is an holy place or a place of business, a place to pore in money in the name of holy goddess.Although Vaishno Devi shrine board provides lots of facilities to all devotees at various places.I got the business kind of feeling when i saw the facilities like battery operated auto rickshaws upto bhawan @100 Rs/ person and helicopter facilities from katra to the point Sanjichhat@ 1225 Rs/person which is just 2.25 kms away from bhawan.
When I stepped down at Katra, lots of people came and asked for Hotel room, all claiming cheap rooms, some claimed that they will charge for taking care of our luggage and we can take bath at their bathrooms and start our journey by giving an charge of Rs 100.Katra is a city which never sleeps and all the devotees keep moving across it on 24x7.
After taking a room and getting fresh we proceeded for taking Yatra Parchi which is an entry pass for beginning Yatra from Banganga check post. When we reached at Parchi counter we got shocked to see the long queue.A long queue of devotees waiting to get Yatra parchi so that they can begin their journey but to surprise Shrine board has closed the Parchi counter as they were not able to handle people at bhawan and they reported to have 50000 devotees at bhawan. They announced that due to over crowded ness counter will get open at next morning 5 am so that they can have control over the devotees. After hearing this i and my friend left for hotel and we planned to come back at around 3 am in the morning so that we can get Yatra parchi in the first slot.We returned to our hotel, slept and waked up at 2 am so that we can again reach at the counter at 3 am.When we were on our way to counter we saw many peoples sleeping at the road side, many people can not afford a room in a hotel, they were sleeping with their luggage with them.We were expecting that there will not be long queue as no one will come so early but we were wrong. We were at the same place in the queue where we left last evening.Peoples didn't left the queue and they were sleeping on the road itself.I saw the devotion towards holy goddess that people didn't bothered to leave for night.I some how managed to enter the line from front where people were waiting for door of counter to open. When door got opened at 5 am,people broke the queue and they were trying to enter the gate, the situation was so bad that security guards were doing lathi charge but still people were entering the gate by climbing on each other.I saw that one woman fell down due to rush and people were crossing her, some how one security guard came and took out that woman.I too flanged the queue and managed to get inside the gate.Internally i was thinking that i am doing cheating with the people who were standing in the queue from last day without catching any sleep and food but every one was doing that.I asked myself that "Is every thing fair to get an glimpse of holy goddess?".
After getting Yatra Parchi,we reached Banganga checkpost. Here we have to go through security check which involves the x ray examination of your luggage and checking of individual by security guards,Beyond this point the Yatra of Vaishno devi starts. We started climbing and took a bath in Banganga river at Banganga gath.Around 9:30 am we resumed our Yatra and kept climbing towards the Ardh kuwari which is in half the way to bhawan. There are lots of shops present on the roads which have drinking water, cold drinks and other things.Vaishno devi shrine board has also installed drinking water taps at various points from where devotees can refill their water bottles. We were climbing, taking breaks in between when we got exhausted as sun was shining along with cool breeze of air.We were reaching higher and higher by crossing mountains to mountains, watching natural beauty of hills in the shining sun light.Awesome, natural beauty.
After a walking of 6 kms we reached Ardh Kuwari at around 12:30 pm.There was so rush that we got the number of next day afternoon to enter the holy cave of Ardh kuwari so we skipped it and moved towards Bhawan. Lots of devotees were coming back from bhawan and lots of people were going towards the bhawan by enchanting Jai Mata Di all the way. There was a excitement in all of us, we all were so enthusiastic and energetic that we were not feeling tired.I saw some devotees who were not just walking like us.They just lie down on road completely and then get up and again lie down from the point where his hands were.My god, was the word which came out of my mouth when i saw them. How much devotion they had for Vaishno Mata. Some of them were walking through their knees.Vaishno mata gave them energy to do so.Around 4 pm we reached at Bhawan. There we took prashad and took a locker to put our luggage so that it can be safe.

There was a queue for final darshan, around 4:45 pm we were in the queue and after 15 minutes we were standing at the holy cave of Vaishno Maa.Queue was moving slowly and priests were not allowing any person to stand there. We got an chance to see the three goddess only for just 3-4 seconds. There was an different kind of feeling, my eyes got filled with tears when i saw Vaishno Maa, I don't know why.We forced to move from there and we left the premises, collected prashad and moved towards our locker to take our luggage. After putting some food in our tummies we moved for Bhairov nath temple as it is said, in order to complete the Vaishno Devi Yatra one should go to Bhairov nath temple otherwise Yatra will remain uncomplete.
After visiting Bhairov nath temple,we started to move downwards. around 8:15 pm.We were so tired that we were not able to walk but some how we managed to get Ardh Kuwari at around 10 pm.We had our dinner, took some rest and again started to move down.God our legs were not supporting us,after every 100 meters we were taking rest and thinking how we will manage to move down. Some how we reached Banganga check post at around 1 am and took an auto from there to our Hotel. When we reached our room,Dhammmm was the sound which i heard and than i lost control on myself and went into a deep sleep after complete 24 hours which included all the hush-hush for getting Yatra Parchi to our continuous Yatra.
Vaishno Devi,a holy place: where devotees are ready to do anything to get a single glimpse of mata.A place where Shrine board provides free medications, free dispenceries, free blankets and free accomodations to devotees.
Vaishno Devi, a Business place: where people earn money by carrying devotees on their back,on their horses and ponies,on palkies (palki is a kind of chair fitted over two bamboos which is carried by four persons to take an devotee to Bhawan).A place where Hotels charges are sky rocketing, where a cyber cafe charges 10 Rs for a print out and 30 Rs for half an hour surfing with an minimum amount of 3o Rs.

Firing Firing all the way

Firing Firing all the way, one has to accept that there is no other way...
Economy melt down, reduction in work, slashing of jobs these are the main and hot topics these days.Every where the common thing in IT industry is Cost cuttings and Firing of employees who are on bench.
Some are saving their necks and some are taking advantage of the term recession.Every body says Recession time is going on but most of the people don't know about recession and they are just taking advantage of it.Well i am not discussing all these things here.

I fired an 12 year old boy.Yes, but may be for his good.
Me and my flatmates appointed a maid for cleaning and sweeping our rooms so that our rooms look more nice and clean to others who come to our flat (I used to saw my room neat and clean before appointing the maid).Initially she used to come but as time passed she start sending her son for the same purpose. That boy is around 12 years old,he came regularly to our flat, sweeps our flat and went to some other place. Her mother was using him as her companion so that she can have more no of flats in her hand which results in good pay.
One day i asked that boy whether he goes to school or not,he said,he used to go school 2 years before and he has attended classes up to 4th,his father was not in a good state of health and family expenditure rose to recover his father's health, that's why he left school and helping her mother.A good emotional story, isn't it? I don't know whether he was lying or telling me the truth but i said to him that you must go school and study. This is not your work to sweep home, this is the time when you must study and make your and your family's future. He gave another excuse that he is not getting admission in any school due to two year break in his studies.
I told him that we don't want him to come for this work and if he continues to come than may be we will discontinue from you.I asked him to tell his mother to talk to me, i thought may be i will convince her mother to send him to a school but her mother gave another dozens of excuses to me.
I told him that he can bring his books on weekends and i will give him free tuition's but he never turned up.As i gave threat to discontinue from them, her mother started to come her flat for cleaning and sweeping and stopped him to come our home.I assumed that her mother got convinced and now she is not using him but my assumption came wrong when i came to know that her mother stopped him to come to our flat and started sending him to some other flat. She didn't wanted to lose her second hand. After some time i also came to know that, that maid have one more son and she is also using him for the same person.Their family is earning from the four hands.
I was not able to do anything in this but i decided that i will not use that boy again.Once i was seeing Shah Rukh Khan's interview on a show and there he said one thing:-

"If we are not able to stop the wrong things around us than at least we should not do the wrong things."
Its really sad to see such things that still childrens from lower class are not able to go school. We say that India is an fast growing and developing country but are we really growing and developing.

Earth Hour

Earth is asking for just one hour from us so that it can help us and we are not helping it.27th March the day when Earth hour is conducted at International level in which we had to minimize the use of lights just for one hour so that the heat produced by all the heat emitting devices across the earth can be reduced by some small amount so that we can reduce Global warming.
Global warming, seems not to be felt by us in our daily lives if we do not want to feel it.We are still using Air Conditioners all the time in our offices, home or Shopping Malls. If you want to know how much heat an AC emits than go in front of its condenser and you will feel a heavy hot breeze, hot up to the extent that if you are completely wet in your clothes than you can dry them by just standing in front of it for 20-25 minutes.

27 th March, time was approaching to 8:30 pm,suddenly power failure occurred in our area 5 minutes before the scheduled time.It was unbelievable that Electricity board was following the schedule of Earth hour or I should say they got a genuine reason to cut power so that it can be saved.Whatever it is, it helped those who don't have inverter at their home i.e. People who have inverters at their home were using it without caring to minimize the power consumption as mentioned for Earth hour. They don't care, they just can't miss their TV serials for one hour duration. But still Electricity board helped. Most of the area was in dark as just like as Black out.Hope we have saved some amount of heat.
Major example of Global warming,This year winter season closed after Holi and summer has to arrive but to surprise before summer, Monsoon arrived in North and its raining from past 2 days.Global warming is making changes in atmospheric cycles.

I think we all have to join hands for reducing Global warming.Every single person can make a difference by lowering the extra use of water, power and heat emitting devices.

Orkut and Friends

Surfing in midnight when no friends are online except those who are abroad seems boring especially when you are on the web from the past 3 hours, taking updates on each side and giving self updates.
Weekend is on and that's why I am still up and finding ways to kill time as i am not feeling sleepy.May be the thought of weekend is keeping me up so late.Enrique is on Windi Medi Player singing his most popular songs.Still surfing orkut and different websites, checking my official mail (i know no one is going to shoot mail at this time but i need to keep my lapi busy in something ;~)).
I observed one thing while surfing Orkut, i went through my friend list, i was just taking an idea who are residing in my friend list which makes an count of 191 and do i really know all of them? I was going through each profile and i found that each of my friend is happy and in good state of life. Some are enjoying, working outside India and some are rocking at India.
I was observing at each and every ones orkut portrait photo, most of them are smiling, some are showing there photography skills and some ressemble like film stars (OMG, when i was with them they never looked like a film star, what happens then.....).
When i look back in 2006,it was started, the time i and many other like me started orkuting, suddenly whole college was addicted to Orkut. There were many fights with lab administration people to unblock orkut as Orkut attained maximum no of hits and bandwidth of College internet.College authorities was wandering and talking about Orkut, they were not aware about Orkut. All the desktops assigned for accessing Internet was having just one website opened all the time.Orkut with less features gained so much popularity.
Time passed,we passed out from college,we became Engineers,we stepped in to Professional world with one thing in common,Orkut.Orkut provided us a medium or platform to stay in touch with our friends. As time passed Orkut get matured and launched many features with increasing privacy and security.
Well I am really happy to see updates from my friends on Orkut.I am really happy that my all friends are good and rocking.
Thanks Orkut.
Keep rocking Guys!!!

Search Of God.

We always go to temples, mosques, church and Gurudwara to offer our prayers to our almighty. We believe, temples and various other holy places are those where god resides or we can get a feeling to be at near or close to god.
We always pray to god for the happiness, success in our life.We ask him to bless us with all good things so that we can live a good life.I think,we are so selfish,we always ask god for only our self.Have we asked him for the good or happiness of others,If so than how many times we have asked him for others?
In normal life we generally talk with each other,we socialize at this society. We met various people and have our own perception for each and every body. This perception guides our mind to have a particular tone or style of talking when we meet different people.
For Ex:- If i am talking to my boss then my tone of talking will be very respective and i will be very humble to him on the other hand after completing conversation with boss if i met a person who is at same level on which i am,my way of talking and tone becomes different.I will behaving like a cool dude with my friends.
If we are talking to a person of opposite gender at that time also we are very different from our originality. If we encounter a person who is not of our level, who is like a rickshaw puller, bus driver etc we treat them as nobody is superior than us and we always talk to them in a way of giving them order.
What if one day we come across god?what we will do at that time?May be greet him very politely, respect fully from the core of heart because we are with god.May be we would be ready to do anything which god says at that time.We will follow to him like anything.Am i right here?
God says, I am everywhere,I am in every single thing from a partical of dust to every human heart.I am in every non living thing and i am in every living thing. But we forget these words and we have bounded god into the area of temples, mosque, church and other holy places. We can go thousand of miles away to see the birth place, foot prints or many others things which are related to god but we can't help those persons who really need help.We give a donation of Rs 100 in temple but we take our hand back to feed a small dirty children who comes to us asking for money.
Why we forget about god when we are scolding or abusing a person who is from lower level.Have you ever imagined that the person you are scolding, beating or abusing can be god (God can come in any form...isn't it)....yes he can be god who came to you, what will you do then after knowing he is god,ask that person to forgive you.... a second before you were beating him and a second later you are asking forgiveness.
Have you ever helped a person from lower class who needs help and have you ever came across the happiness on their face.I have experienced it,
One fine evening i was at road side eatery and i was waiting for my burger to come as i was very hungry at that time. When stall owner passed me my burger a small kid came to me and pulled my trouser.I looked at him and he was asking to me for some food.He was looking very hungry,i stopped myself and handed over my burger to him.He ate that burger and i saw a kind of happiness or a kind of satisfaction on face that comes after eating something especially when you were very hungry.I was feeling that what that kid was feeling after he took his first bite of burger,i feeled as that single bite going through my food pipe to stomach passing lungs (same observation when u ate something after a very long time).
This kind of feeling happiness is very different from the other things.I believe, i fed burger to god :~) that day who is in the form of a small boy.
My opinion is that we should greet every one in this society with a very warm and welcoming attitude.I know sometimes we face a rude behaviour from some but if we remain cool and warm then they will also correct their way of talking. (wo kehte he na,pyaar se sab thik kiya jaa sakta he).
We should greet everyone with a smile,Life is to smile.Keep a smile on your face.
Trust me just try to keep smile,be polite and warm to each and everyone,I am sure you feel that you came across god.

I am pasting some lines of a song "Banda re" from movie Raaz 2 as i believe there is truthness in them.

Mauko Kahaan Dhoondhe Re
BandeMain To Tere Paas Mein
Naa Teerath Mein Naa Moorat Mein
Naa Ekaant Niwaas Mein
Naa Mandir Mein Naa Masjid Mein
Naa Kabhi Kailaash Mein
Main To Tere Paas Mein Bande....
Main To Tere Paas Mein

Mirror and Mirror Images

As defined, A mirror is an object with one surface polished, which leads to reflection and another opaque.A mirror creates an exact copy of any object placed in front of it.
Above are the common definitions of a mirror, But mirrors show some thing more to a person. The difference is, the way of looking at the mirror.
Every morning when i go in front of mirror, i saw a person standing in front of me looking exactly as me,does all the things which i do but in a opposite manner.I know that this is my mirror image and it is opposite.Mirrors are made to do the opposite things which made the person inside the mirror totally different from us.
As we know that our mirror images do the things exactly opposite whatever we do.Just imagine, there is a different world inside mirror where all the things happens like our daily life.Whatever activities we do in a daily routine they just happens opposite in the mirror world. For example, If i am cursing anybody or scolding a person than my mirror image will be blessing that person or vice versa.
I think we have a similarity with mirrors. How?A plane glass is polished from one side so that it can act as an mirror. We see other side of the mirror not the back side of it. We as a person are also polished from one side and show our other side to outer world.Outer world will only see the other side of us but no one see the back of polished side which is completely different from the other side.No body knows what a person is in reality, we only knows a person according to the image which he is showing to the world.
Mirror images also asks you such questions which no body can ask you and nobody other than you can answer them.Although it is just a piece of glass but it means a lot.A mirror makes you realize what you are.It shows you as a confident person and it shows you as a defeated or dejected person.
Mirror is the thing in which a person can match his eyes with his own, it totally depends on us whether we have the courage to match our eyes with our mirror image or we try to avoid the eye contact.

Whether To Ask An Unknown Girl For Friendship or Not

Yeah, this is an straight forward question How to ask an unknown girl for friendship?

There is a girl in the society where i am residing from the last two years, i came across her first time in a shared auto rickshaw.During my initial days when i joined my first job i used to commute with shared auto rickshaw up to my office. An shared auto rickshaw runs on a pre-defined route carrying 12 persons at a time including driver.
I came across her again and again, some times in between 12 persons, some times in between 5 persons and one time there were just I and her,two eyes became four eyes but still i didn't asked for friendship. I thought how should i proceed, why a person will accept an friendship offer from an unknown person with out having any information about him or her.But am i unknown to her? I guess yes and no,Yes , because she don't know anything about me and No, because she also knows that we came across many times. This part made me feel that i should at least ask her for friendship, but i didn't asked her.I don't know why? I am still searching the answer of this question.

Soon i upgraded from shared auto rickshaw to bike and start commuting on ma bike.Due to this i was not coming across her in any means but she was still commuting through shared auto rickshaw. One day i came to know that she used to work in some company which is very near to mine as i saw her one day at a road side food eatery near that area where i used to go for some tea or snacks.I was not aware about her company name as there are lots of BPOs and Technological firms but may be she knows where i work.
She must have seen the strap of my access card on which my company name is printed.Still i ask my self, should i ask her? but what i will say if she asked me why i want to do friendship with her?no answers till date but i want to ask her......
One year went and i was not aware whether she is still in the same society or she left. Some time back i saw her again and saw that she is residing just a block away but at that time i didn't have time as i was going very busy in the office and having an schedule of 10 am to 11 pm due to project deadlines and deliveries.Soon i forgot all these things and i almost forgot about her.

The new year came and from the new month of new year i started visiting Hanuman temple located in my society on every Tuesday so that i can pray to god at least once in a week. I saw her at the temple and she saw me,again two eyes became four eyes.I got an sigh,oh...she is still in this society.I heard an internal sound saying some thing to me but i was getting two sounds one in left ear and one right ear, exactly as like films, one side my devil was saying and other side my angel

Angel: "go and ask her you dumbo"
Devil:"no man, this is a temple, don't make any fuss here"
Angel:"C'mon, this is a good chance"
Devil:"What if she refused?"
Angel:"C'mon, don't bother about result,at least ask her.Don't you remember the saying karm kar aur phal ki chinta mat kar"
Devil:"What if she asked the reason"
Angel:"Say anything but go and ask first, may be she will not ask anything"

My head and eyes were swinging between two and when i looked around she vanished from temple.I saw she was going ahead, just a few meters ahead.I didn't followed her and was standing there.I looked at the time so that i can again catch her at the temple, may be next coming tuesday.
Next tuesday arrived but at the noted time she didn't showed up.I said myself, next tuesday.

Still i am confused should i ask her or not? What reason i will provide if she asked me the reason for friendship?why a person will accept an friendship proposal from an unknown person?

Whether to ask an Unknown Girl for Friendship or not.

Any help?

Time = Money

We always heard people saying that "Time is also money and we should give value to time, its very important".But how many of us have realized the importance of time in terms of money?
I realized this thing when i came across one of the watchman in my company.
One fine morning i reached to parking lot owned by my organization, i parked my bike, told my name and my employee id to Watchman named Jeevan Singh (so that he can update Time in and Time out in his record book) and boarded the parking shuttle to office. This is an every day process and there is nothing new about it.On that same evening when i was leaving office around 9 pm i came across Jeevan Singh at security kiosk,he greeted me and checked me before leaving office premises (well ,in our organization there is a general process of checking individual during their entry and exist in which he/she get scanned through metal detectors by security in order to ensure that we are not carrying any magnetic media, pen drives, cds or any such medium on which any information can be recorded). When he did all security measures he said "Goodnight Sir!!" and got busy checking others.
When i was in parking shuttle, i was thinking that this man was on duty since morning and still he is here at 9 pm.I assumed he had duty hours of 12 hours and he will be leaving on.
Next morning when i went to parking lot, my eyes were searching for him and i was not able to see him.I thought may be he will come late to duty as he was there at office up to late hours.I reached office gate and got surprised when i saw him at the same security kiosk. He said "Good Morning Sir!!" i was so curious that instead of saying him Good Morning in reply i asked him

me:Jeevan Singh,How come you are here as you were in the night also.Did you came so early in the morning ?
JS:Sir, i am here from the last night and i didn't went off from the duty.
me:Why so?why you are doing continuous duty?
JS:Sir, i will do duty of 36 hours so that i can get my overtime payment as i need to go home and i require money.
me:But how can you do a continuous 36 hour long duty without catching any sleep?
JS:Sir, this is my job and i am habitual to it, i did 36 hour duty before.
me:but......
JS:Sir, you guys got 8 hours of working hours but still you were leaving office yesterday at 9 pm i.e. after 12 hours of duty.If you can extend 4 hours more than why i can't.
me:hmm...

i didn't uttered a single word and went ahead, swapped my access card, opened the door and went in towards my work bench.
That day i realized how time is related to money. In fact we software guys got billed from US based clients on the basis of no of hours we spent in the office for their work and our organization got payment from US based client according to following formula:-

payment = no of hours spent in a day x 5 working days x 5or 4 weeks

Here also we are earning according to the no of hours we are spending in the office doing work for others.
An software professional spend 10 - 12 hours (although 8 hours are normal office timings) in his small cubicle by only sitting and working on a computer in Air cooled environment while an Watchman spend his 10-12 hours in long and big areas by only standing all the time. But both are earning according to the time he spent on his duty.
If you really want to know the relation between time and money than go ask MD or Finance VP of any software firm.

Dad Is Always Right...

Yes,Dads are always right. Some times we feel that our Dad is out of fashion, don't know about latest technologies, we have an generation gap,he don't understand todays open youth culture.
Some times Dad gives lots of explaination and cautionary tips before we do some thing for ex: if you have to buy a new thing than your dad will give you lots of tips for that product to ensure that we get a good thing. He values money and his main concern is if we are spending money on some thing than that thing should worth it and we just think "what dad, why can't you stop examining pros and cons of each and every thing, why can't you just buy me that damn thing or why can't you let me buy that thing".Our eyes are so deeply catched with that particular thing that we forgot the fact that our own dad is right and we should do the things according to him.

But at some point we realize that ya,Dad was right.I am the one who has not followed him.
I also went through this and I have a one example when I realized that.

Some time around July 2005, my family and one more family went to Panvel (Mumbai) as my dad and his friend has some official meeting there so they took all of us to there so that we can meet other family friends and have a nice time. One fine evening we all decided to go Vashi (Navi Mumbai) for dinner and for some shopping there.Instead of going through our own cars we decided to go by local train so that we can save time, we reached Panvel local station, parked our four wheelers and my dad bought 12 tickets.I asked my dad to give me my ticket and conversation was
me:Dad, give me my ticket.
Dad:Why, I am keeping all of them with me, why do you need that.
me: (in a joking mood) In case you left than I don't want to face Ticket checker without a ticket.
Dad:Okay, here is yours but remember I am you dad.
I kept that ticket in upper left pocket and we all boarded the train, whole family was inside and I was standing at the local train gate for getting more air (as I was not new in Mumbai and all those who have been to Mumbai can understand) and the atmosphere was also very fine as cold winds were flowing. As the local train reached at the banks of sea, wind flow increased and suddenly my whole shirt get filled with air.Due to that heavy wind flow, my ticket in pocket got flowed outside my pocket and I was just watching this as a dumb.I was not able to beleive on my eyes.
I was thinking what should I do now, tell my father.....na,he will scold me in front of all. What should I do..... I just went silently and sat inside with my family and I was pretending as nothing was happened and regained the false smile on my face.I decided not to tell anybody about this untill i get caught by TC because if I get caught than there is no other option left for me and if I not then I don't need to tell anybody.
As we reached Vashi station and walking out of station, I spotted a Ticket checker was standing out there and checking tickets.I tried to hide myself in between the mob and my family but some how TC camed towards me leaving all the passenger around me and asked me for the ticket.I thought, now I get caught and I have to tell them all the story.I was searching the ticket in pockets to show him that I have it but I am not getting it.By seeing my enacts my father camed and gave him the tickets which were 11 in number.TC looked at them, he asked whether the tickets are 12 or not.My father ensured him that they are 12 in numbers.TC didn't bothered to count them and started asking other people to show tickets.

My Dad saved me that day and he said quitely "I am your Dad".I knew what he tried to describe by those four words, I just said "Yes Dad you are".
Above incident made me believe that Dads are always Right ;o)

A Dream Which Will Never Get Fullfilled

We all used to see dreams when we go to bed and generally dreams are related to activities which we did on that particular whole day.But some dreams or some actions are repetitive i.e. some thing which always comes in dreams either on a regular basis or at random basis. But there is some thing which get associated to you in a virtual world from years, some thing which is not possible in real world.

One such thing which i see in my dreams more often is the ability to fly.I can fly in dreams and i can come down safely whenever i want.I just need to stretch my both hands with palms towards the sky keeping my eyes closed, just like as we do during meditation and then started rising above the ground.I saw this activity many times in different situations in my dreams, some time i wonder that do i really have a power to fly like that.

This dream is associated with me from past 10 years (as far as i remember), I am seeing this dream from the time when television programs like Shaktimaan or movies like Matrix were not launched.

I heard that every dream has its meaning, there are also lots of websites which interprets dreams but i never bothered to see the meaning of this dream.

That's why i titled this as "A Dream Which Will Never Get Fullfilled" in real life.
